Garden Glimpses
We work in the garden most days and see flowers and shrubs blooming, vegetables and herbs growing, trees leafing and setting blossoms, and the new spring growth everywhere. There is much to do each day, but we also take the time to enjoy our flowering plants, a few of which are shared here.
- Aubrieta (Aubrieta deltoidea)
- Poppy (Papaver croceum sp.)
- Daphne (Daphne sp.)
- Candytuft (Iberis sempervirens)
- Solomon’s seal (Polygonatum multiflorum sp.)
- pansy (Viola trifolor sp.)
- bleeding hearts (Dicentra spectabilis)
- tulips (Tulipa sp.)
- Lewisia (Lewisia longipetala)
- Lilac (Syringa vulgaris)
- Honeysuckle (Lonerica tatarica)

Wildflowers are blooming throughout the hills and the home gardens are full of color. Each day is a nature hike, or a garden walk to enjoy the plants of spring.
