Early September Flower Gardens
After late summer heat, many of the perennials of the garden are going into dormancy, but annuals from warmer climates are thriving. Some of the flowers currently in bloom are either self-seeded (cosmos, snapdragon, marigold, and others) or planted from packs to fill in borders.
Shared here are snapdragons, Coleus, Gazania, climbing rose, Hibiscus, Dahlia, Echinacea, and evening primrose (Oenothera sp.). Click any photo for the album and click any image for a caption/ID.
his is harvest season in the garden. Many hours are spend picking, washing, preparing, preserving, and consuming cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, pears, plums, and potatoes.
