A New Start
A Wildflower Journal has been around for a few years, but the site was lost to a cyberattack over the winter. Six websites went dark. Rather than try to clean up and patch the websites, I let them go to the nether, and I started a new website on a different webhost. KamloopsTrails.com came first and it is now publicly shared with new content about twice a week, focused on hikes, snowshoeing, paddling, and exploring. I wasn’t sure if nature hikes would also be part of that site, but I have since decided to move those to another website. The next website to be resurrected was RambleOn.ca. This is a journal-oriented website on hikes, runs, walks, snowshoeing, paddling, books, exploring, and possibly nature hikes and gardening. It is also active and new posts are more frequent since I get out every day, resulting in frequent journal posts each week.
I had been going through all my files of nature hikes, and all my wildflower and plant photos (a massive number of photos) and I decided that A Wildflower Journal would arise again.
First stages are building the website with all its parts. Second, content will be added. I copied over a handful of wildflower or garden posts from KamloopsTrails.com and RambleOn.ca to get started. New content will be added at a rate of 1 – 2 each week. No plan is in place. It will be an eclectic choice of topics until the nature hikes get going again (end of March).
I hope to see you on the nature trails.
New content will be written this week to kick off the new website.
