Late May Flowerbeds
On a warm and windy afternoon, I went out for a garden walk, enjoying flowers in bloom in several locations. Photographs in the wind don’t work for long-stemmed species so I focused mainly on low-growing or sheltered spots. Newly in bloom were the painted daisies, daylilies, fameflowers, alliums, and speedwell. All photos by the author and included as an embedded Google Photos slide show (below):
Another option is to go to the album online at the link below:
- Late May Flowerbeds (link)
- painted daisy (Tanacetum coccinuem)
- Okanogan fameflower (Talinum sediforme) – a native transplant
- Solomon’s seal (Polygonatum multiflorum)
- daylily (Hemerocallis sp.)
- Cerastium sp.
- crane’s-bill (Geranium sp.)
- Spirea sp.
- speedwell (Veronica sp.)
- chives (Allium schoenoprasum)
- Delphinium sp.
- Allium sp.
Nature hikes and garden walks are part of each day’s outdoor time in spring.
