A Wildflower Journal was created a few years ago to share the wildflowers spotted when out hiking the area near Kamloops, but also other parts of BC,  and a few from travel locations.    It evolved over time to include other flora spotted while out exploring.     Native species are the prime focus, but we also have some of those in our home garden, and a number of cultivars and other plants to enjoy.

From nature hikes and garden walks I select plants to photograph and share, providing more information from both personal knowledge, but from reliable sources too.

This is the second version of the website, with a fresh start in February, 2025.     Posts will be published each week, some based on past nature hikes or garden walks and some will be current, shared in a journal style.

At times a specific species will be chosen for detailed information as part of the content of the website.
