On the Trails in Fall
The last post of nature hikes from this year is a collection of outings in the latter half of October, including flora from the Lac le Jeune area, the Adams River area, and the Lac du Bois area. Hiking will continue throughout late fall and through the winter, but will more focused on keeping up the pace to stay warm. Fall color continues to be a feature for this month and into November, but the images from upcoming hikes will mainly be featured on Rambleon.ca or Kamloopstrails.com.
Shared here are a number of photos of Douglas maple, Douglas fir adelgid (probably a spruce gall), rattlesnake plantain, soopalallie, pinedrops, yarrow, willows, water forget-me-nots, aspens, fairy bells, hawthorn, red-osier dogwood, and rough goose-neck moss (scientific names can be found at this link).
Shared here are some photos from the nature hikes noted as a Google Photos album. Click the link for more information.
