Wildflowers of the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge
We hiked the desert lands in central Washington State and camped at Potholes Lake. Trails to the south went through the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge, featuring rocky buttes, grasslands, marshes, pothole lakes, and many riparian zones. We enjoyed the hikes and took a few photos of wildflowers along the way, a few of which are featured here. All shots taken by the author. Click an image for a larger view and a caption.
Does anyone recognize the bristly seedheads in the gallery?
