Trophy Mountain Trail – Subalpine Meadows
We hiked from the Trophy Mountain trailhead to the summit of the peak going from wet montane forest to subalpine forest to subalpine meadows and finally up alpine ridges. The alpine meadows are extensive on Trophy Mountain. We hiked to the meadows in June to witness the early bloom (link). In early July the meadows were between the early bloom and the full bloom, usually best at the end of July. A few species from the earlier bloom and a few from the bloom-to-come were spotted along the way, shared here as a gallery. Full articles will be published over the winter months.
