We hiked a longer loop through the hills in the Whiskey Dick Wildlife Area in Central Washington State in May. The treeless hills featured a variety of shrubs and herbs, as well as some small wildlife, including lizards. A few photos are featured here. All photos taken by the author. On top of the ridge and on our way down, we were rewarded with flowering hedgehog cactus, collomia, bitterroot, yellow primrose, and more discoveries.
