Sage Trails Nature Hike
We hiked the trails on the northeast corner of Kenna Cartwright Park, starting at the trailhead off Bunker Road. We hiked the Sage Trail, then chose a loop we refer to as the outside loop. Along the way, we stopped to enjoy the wildflowers, and whatever else attracted our interest. A few images are shared here. Click an image for a lightbox view and a caption.
The gallery features shaggy daisy (Erigeron pumilis*), blue flax (Linum perenne sp.), pale comandra (Comandra umbellata sp.), hillside arnica (Arnica fulgens), cream cinquefoil (Potentilla arguta), pale agoseris (Agoseris glauca), desert yellow fleabane (Erigeron linearis), parsnip-flowered buckwheat (Eriogonum heracleoides sp.), and Thompson’s paintbrush (Castilleja thompsonii).
More information on some of these wildflowers can be found on the website – link.
