On the Ridge Lakes Trail
From the Ridge Mountain Road to the southwest from Lac le Jeune, I hiked tracks up through the hills to the Ridge Lakes at 1470m (4822 ft.) on a mid-August day. All was quiet in this remote area. Along the way, I observed a few wildflowers, berries, and flowering shrubs, a few of which are shared here – baneberry (Actaea rubra sp.), slender cinquefoil (Potentilla gracilis), pearly everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea), great northern aster (Canadanthus modestus), eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis), fringed grass of parnassus (Parnassia fimbriata), birch-leaved spirea (Spirea betulifolia), fireweed (Chamaenerion angustifolium), and arnica (Arnica cordifolia).

It would be great if you had the botanical names for the plants as well. I look them up myself but thought others might be interested too. You do find lovely things on your hikes.
They are provided in the post, every time. Click the link to read the post.
