On the Lower Flumes Trails
In mid-fall we hiked on the Lower Flumes Trails down to the Adams River, then along riverside trails downstream, then upstream. There was fall color along the trails and many leaves on the trail in a cedar – hemlock – birch forest.
There were no wildflowers in bloom, but there were still many shrubs and perennials to notice along the way. Click an image for a lightbox view and a caption.
After two hours of hiking, we returned back to the trailhead, but vowed to return again for another hike on the Lower Flumes Trails.
