On the Embleton Trails
We hiked the Mt. Embleton trails in August, following a loop route on signed trails. We hiked up to the lookout at the top, then followed the Skyline Trail down before turning onto the Old Mills Trail to take us back to the start. On a weekday, the trails were fairly quiet, but we met other hikers at three points. As we hiked, we stopped to observe the forest, the views, and the vegetation along the way. We took a number of photos, a few of which are shared here.
Included in this gallery are images of pale agoseris (Agoseris glauca), aspen fleabane (Erigeron speciosus), false solomon’s seal berries (Maianthemum racemosum), prince’s pine (Chimaphila umbellata), and harebells (Campanula rotundifolia).

We have hiked these trails in every season and each time we enjoy the trails, the views, and what we encounter along the way. There are a number of posts on KamloopsTrails.ca, for more information.
