On Mount Embleton
We hiked the trails on Mt. Embleton and enjoyed the forest, the fall colors, the views, and the plants we saw along the way. We stopped to take some photos in wet areas, on open ridges, and in the forest.
Shared here are some of the perennials and shrubs we spotted – large-leaved avens (Geum macrophyllum), butterbur (Petistates frigidus sp.), oxeye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare sp.), fleabane (Erigeron sp.), stonecrop (Sedum lanceloatum), old man’s whiskers (Geum triflorum), spirea (Spiraea betulifolia), boxwood (Pachistima sp.), and several types of pussytoes (Antennaria sp.).

We hike Mt. Embleton every year and treasure the outing each time.
