November Appearances
In the first week of November we continued to hike the hills in the valley, the grasslands, and the forested hills. Some snow lingered higher in the hills and the temperatures were hovering about zero overnight. A few flowers were still spotted and we continued to observe plants at various stages of development each time we were out.
A few images are shared here – goldenrod (Solidago spp.), rabbitbrush, (Chrysothamnus nauseosus), desert yellow fleabane (Erigeron linearis), mariposa lily (Calochortus macrocarpus), wolf lichen (Letharina vulpina), orange jelly fungus (Dacrymyces chrysospermus), cut-leaf fleabane (Erigeron compositus), locoweed (Oxytropis campestris), small-leaf pussytoes (Antennaria parvifolia), aspen fleabane (Erigeron speciosus), gaillardia (Gaillardina aristata) and asparagus (Asparagus officinalis).
