Just before the first frosts I hiked up the Tranquille River Trail and spotted a few flowers, leaves, and seedheads that caught my attention.    A few images are provided here.     Can you name the plants without clicking the image (for a lightbox view and a caption).

Nature hikes will continue through to next spring, but they may not feature wildflowers until the end of March.
