From time to time, we will walk the home garden to enjoy the flowers of shrubs and perennials.    Near the end of April, spring was underway and the flowering almond shrub was developing many blossoms.

Fruit trees were developing leaves and some early blossoms.    This apricot tree blossomed in good conditions.

Our two cherry trees were concurrently in bloom.

The pear tree was still developing its blooms.

Sweet alyssum was in flower on the hillside, filling the air with cloying perfumed scents.

Phlox looks ragged every spring but then it greens up and distinctive flowers follow.

Vinca is a reliable ground cover that produces many flowers.

And my favorite spring flowers are the rockcress.   We have 3 different colors all in bloom at the same time.
