June Showers in the Garden
We had many days of showers this month which was great for most of the garden. When the skies brightened, we went out to see what was blooming.
Painted daisies were flowering in the front perennial bed.
We have quite a few columbines in the yard. This one looks closer to the native variety, red and yellow columbine.
This pink-flowered perennial is in the catchfly family and has been in the garden for years to the point where we have forgotten its exact id.
Carnations all bloom at once in ground cover masses in sunny spots in the garden,
Jacob’s ladder blooms in the wilderness and at home at the same time.
The spireas bloom first, followed by the cinquefoils.
While I am writing this thunder is booming overhead and showers will fall again.
