Moul and McDiarmid Falls Nature Hike
We travelled to Clearwater, then north to Wells Gray Provincial Park. We parked at the trailhead to Moul Falls, and then hiked for 3 hours, first down to Moul Falls, then over and down to McDiarmid Falls. Most of the hike was through mixed forest in a wetter zone than the Kamloops area. Along the way we stopped to enjoy various plants we spotted. A few are shared here – Hooker’s fairybells (Disporum hookeri), Oregon grape (Mahonia aquifolim sp.), false Solomon’s seal (Smilacena racemosa), wild sarsaparilla (Aralia nudicaulis), wild strawberry (Fragaria virginiana), blue clematis (Clematis occidentalis sp. ), and ground-cedar (Lycopodium complanatum).

This is a hike I try to do every year, but alternating the seasons over time.
