Mad Dog Mountain
We hiked to the top of Mad Dog Mountain in the Marble Range. The route follows backroads to a trailhead which also leads to Lime Ridge. The Mad Dog Trail branches off and climbs through an old burn to the summit.
The hike was in mid-June last year and along the route route were a number of wildflowers, a few of which are shared here.

On the way back down we wound through the burn and down the trail to the start, a 10 km return hike.
We hike into the Marble Range in June or July each year, enjoying the karst landscape and the summer wildflowers.
