We spent a few days hiking in the Marble Range and paddling nearby. While we were out we spotted quite a few wildflowers, especially on the Jesmond Summit route.

(pedicularis bracteosa) "Erect, stout perennial up to about 100 cm tall, coarsely fibrous-rooted, or often some of the roots with tuberous thickenings. Herbage hairless below the flowers, stems leafy, unbranched."
(geum triflorum) After flowering, the capsule turns upward and clusters of hairy seeds develop.
This was the predominant flowering plant on top of the open karst ridges, with kilometers of avens mats and white flowers.

This was arabis lyallii, but it has now been classified into the boechera group.
(silene aucalis) Forms cushions/mats in the alpine.
(saxifraga bronchialis) This species grows into a dense mat in rocky spots.
