Hiking Zoa Peak in the Fall
I hiked Zoa Peak in the Coquihalla Summit area in mid-October. There was some snow on top, but there were some flowering plants at lower elevations and lots of fall color along the trail Shared here are the bright red foliage of huckleberry (Vaccineum sp.), red Indian paintbrush (Castilleja miniata), spreading phlox (Phlox stolonifera) <and a same day shot from the flower garden of the same species>, and parsley fern (Cryptogramma acrostichoides).
This was one of the last mountain hikes for the year. It was a mild and sunny day, a good hike to finish the summits series of hikes.
