Greenstone Summit Wildflowers
We hiked in the summit area of Greenstone Mountain and enjoyed the wildflowers at 1770m (5800+ ft).
On the open south-facing ridges we saw showy daisy (Erigeron sp.), pearly everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea), stonecrop (Sedum lanceolatum), yellow agoseris (Agoseris glauca), orange agoseris (Agoseris aurantiaca), and various grasses and sedges, including golden sedge (Carex aurea).

In semi-shaded or damp slopes we saw white sweet-scented bog-orchids (Platanthera dilatata), spotted saxifrage (Saxifraga bronchialis), tiger lilies (Lilium columbianum), northern gentian (Gentianella sp.) , and black twinberry (shrub) (Lonerica involucrata).
It is a long and bumpy road to the top of Greenstone Mountain, but it is worth the effort (esp. in summer).
