End of June Flower Gardens
By the end of June the vegetable garden is full of spring vegetables, berries are ready to eat, and fruit is ripening on the trees. Summer vegetables are coming along nicely, but not quite ready yet. Shrubs and vines have been blooming and a few of the later varieties are now budding and flowering.
Featured here are a few stars:
- Clematis (C. jackmanii)
- Stonecrop (Sedum lanceolata)
- Heuchera (leaves)
- Forget-me-nots (self-seeded)
- Harebells (Campanula sp.)
- Penstemon
- Matricaria (feverfew)(self-seeded)
- Iceplant (Mesembryanthemum sp.)
- Fleabane (Erigeron sp.)
- Cilantro

For dinner, we had a salad from garden greens and for dessert we had saskatoon berries, raspberries, strawberries. and haskap berries. Perfect.
