Cooney Bay Nature Hike
We hiked along the shores of Cooney Bay on Kamloops Lake with the grandkids on a nature hike. Beachcombing took much of our time but we also saw ospreys, sandhills cranes, killdeer, a bald eagle, butterflies, and lots of interesting insects.
Shared here are images of wildflowers and insects – showy milkweed (Asclepias speciosa), purple dragonhead (Physostegia parviflora), white clematis (Clematis lingusticifolia), sneezeweed (Helenium autumnale), chokecherries (Prunus virginiana), a red-femured milkweed borer (Tetraopes femoratus) , and a spider wasp (Tachypompilus sp.).

This is a pleasant hike in every month.
