At Tunkwa Lake
In mid-August I drove to Tunkwa Lake to kayak and explore. I hiked along the lakeshore and spotted a few flowering plants, a few of which are shared here – rosehips (Rosa sp.), water parsnip (Sium suave), Canada mint (Mentha canadensis), a skipper (Hesperioidea sp.) on thistles (Cirsium arvense), silverweed (Potentilla anserina), white prairie aster (Symphyotrichum falcatum), sow thistle (Sonchus oleraceus), western dock (Rumex occidentalis), and smartweed (Persicaria amphibia).
